New at ICI

Shaquil was referred to Assistive Technology of Alaska by the Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ACBVI). While Shaquil had some assistive technology (AT) experience and had already learned to use his smartphone with VoiceOver through ACBVI, he sought greater independence at home.

The Michigan Assistive Technology Program connected with Natalie, a young girl with a limb difference, through her occupational therapist. Natalie is learning to feed herself, and MATP provided demonstrations and short-term loans of several types of adapted silverware to help her practice this important skill.
